what this quote means to me is that peope who we look at today as being great people and smart people are not. they have made many mistakes and that is why we look at them for guidence becuse they have made mistakes and if we look at them we may not make those same mistakes. the scholors have been great mentors in a way by leaving their writings and doings for us to look at in history.
