Sublime (suh BLYME)-of great intellectual, moral, or spiritual value; superior; impressive
Examples:
Listening to the sublime music of Mozart, you can’t help but be impressed by it.
The chef’s sublime creation--her baked Alaska--is so popular that the restaurant runs out of it every night.
Quote:
Good-Deeds: All earthly things is but vanity:
Beauty, Strength, and Discretion, do man forsake,
Foolish friends and kinsmen, that fair spake,
All fleeth save Good-Deeds, and that am I.
Everyman: Have mercy on me, God, most mighty;
And stand by me, thou Mother and Maid, holy Mary.
Everyman
to me this quote means that beautiful is only beautiful and does not last forever and neither do all the other things the other things man for sakes tem he everyman also wants him to stand by him through everything. he is trying to be sublme with good deeds.
